MARGARET WILDER

Classically trained, Wilder is a singer, songwriter and pianist who was heavily influenced by jazz at an early age. Her passion for rhythm and blues followed, leading the young performer to an onstage career. Currently the front person of the Margaret Wilder Band, the formidable musician cleverly fuses blues, rock and funk, creating an unforgettable collection of tunes that blends the sounds of Etta James with Annie Lennox.

ADRIAN CLARKE

Originally from southeast England, Adrian has been playing guitar for over 30 years. He has toured throughout Europe with various bands and recorded with his friend Andy Giddings, the brilliant keyboard player from "Jethro Tull." Adrian and fellow band mate Dave Payne were part of the backing band for Lee Oscar's Bellingham show. Whilst being a very versatile guitarist, Adrian is also a talented singer/songwriter on both acoustic and electric guitars. Noted locally for his original pop/rock trio "sevenAM" as well as being a member of the local R & B band "The Atlantics" and the "Aemmer/Clarke" acoustic duo. Adrian has also been known to play with the "Cathouse Blues Band", the "Badd Dog Blues Society" and has performed a number of solo acoustic shows.

Adrian is now working with the "Margaret Wilder Band," adding his electric and acoustic style to a talented band with an impressive set of material.

Adrian moved to Bellingham 12 years ago and married his sweetheart, Kathy.

KIM CARSON

Kim started her music career with piano, where she studied for seven years at Meadows School of Fine Arts (Southern Methodist University). She settled on the drums as a teenager and has since studied at the Seattle Drum School with Steve Smith and Jason McGerr, currently the drummer for "Deathcab For Cutie."

A member of such promindent Northwest U.S. acts as Swamp Mama Johnson, and the Northwest Women in R&B, Kim has played at many clubs and festivals, including B.B. King's Blues Club in Memphis, the Catalina Island Blues Festival (CA), the High Sierra Music Festival (CA), Folk On the Rocks (Yellowknife, NW Territories, CA). She has shared the stage with Shamekia Copeland, Maceo Parker and John Hiatt, to name a few.

Kim's rock solid drumming combined with the positive energy she exudes while playing, are apparent when she plays with Margaret Wilder. She and bass player David Payne are a tight rhythm section and play as a duo on various side projects. "It keeps the creativity flowing." Kim says. "To tackle someone else's music and put our own spin on it, is a great way for David and me to develop musically. We bring that experience back to the band." Recent side projects include Nicole Fournier, Alice Stuart, Zora Young, the Red Hot Blues Sisters, and Fat James.

DAVID PAYNE

David Payne is a 30-year veteran of the music industry. He has been a renowned performing/session player in Hollywood, San Francisco Bay area and the Pacific Northwest. David is competent in all musical genres. He describes his own personal style as a soulful, rocking, pop, R&B groove. His creative talents have established him as a versatile bassist known for discovering the true essence of a song.

His influences include such bass legends as Paul McCartney, James Jamerson, John Entwistle, Bob Babbitt, George Porter Jr., Carl Radle, Rick Danko, Donald 'Duck' Dunn, Willie Dixon, and Chuck Rainey.

David received formal education in music from San Francisco School of the Arts, where he earned a scholarship. A multi-faceted bassist and baritone vocalist, David has performed and recorded in numerous projects throughout his careeer including vinyl's, demos, cd's, concerts, symphonies, musicals, national and international television, commercials, touring, etc.

David has performed on stage and/or the studio with an enormous number of artists, including Hal Blaine, Lee Oskar, Cash McCall, The Platters, Zora Young, Dyle Bramhall II, Fat James, King Bee's of the Bayou, Paul Taylor, Mic Gillette, Gary Pihl, Stoneground, Joules Graves, Troy Luccketta, to name a few.

Also know as "Payne Formula Designs" and "The Guitar Doctor," David owns his own business of designing, building and repairing stringed instruments and creating new musical instrument innovations and tools.

TRACY FERRARA

Tracy is a classically trained clarinetist who received formal training at Julliard School of Music in NYC. She plays the tenor and soprano saxaphone.
